Beliefs of True Gospel Ministries

True Gospel Ministries is an independent Christian ministry that is not affiliated with any denomination or group. This is what we believe ...

  • All true understanding of God and the Bible comes from the teaching of the Holy Spirit.[1]
  • The Cross of Christ forgave all sins of all people for all time, except the eternal and unforgivable sin of rejecting Jesus Christ as Savior.[2]
  • You must be born again to be saved.[3]
  • Christians have a redeemed and righteous born again inner spirit; Christians "live" in a not-yet-redeemed and not-yet-righteous mortal body.[4]
  • Jesus Christ, eternal God and Creator, emptied Himself to live fully as a human while on the earth.[5]
  • The Old Covenant Law was an exclusive agreement between God and the children of Israel. The Law was never given to the Gentiles.[6]
  • Both the Bible and the Christian faith come from the Jews; therefore, the context of the New Testament is primarily "Jewish." There are passages that speak directly to the Gentiles - i.e. Ephesians 2:11 - 3:21 - but overall the context of the New Testament is 1st century and Jewish. [7]

[2]  All are forgiven but not all are saved; you must be born again. For a more detailed explanation on the forgiveness of sins, Click Here.
[3] Being "born again" means that upon faith in Christ Jesus as Savior, God removes your old sinful spirit (heart) and replaces it with a brand new, clean heart indwelled by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit joining to you makes you righteous, and you must be righteous to be in the family of God. For more information about what it means to be born again, Click Here.
[4] Faith is living from your spiritual union with Jesus Christ in your redeemed and fully righteous spirit, and following Him by faith in your not-yet-redeemed and still-able-to-sin mortal flesh. You cannot live righteously by your own human strength no matter how sincere you are or how hard you try because your mortal body is still dead because of sin (see Romans 8:10). For a more detailed discussion about your union with Christ, Click Here.
[5] Because He lived fully as a man, Jesus is not only your Savior but also your model of faith because He lived by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit that He received at His baptism. This is the same Holy Spirit that now lives in your new, born again heart. For more information, Click Here.
[6] Besides the Law, the New Covenant was also an exclusive agreement between God and the children of Israel; however, God is grafting the Gentiles into a salvation that Jesus said, "... is from the Jews." In Christ Jesus there is no longer any distinction between Jew and Gentile; all are now "one new man," the children of God, the bride and Body of Christ. For more information, Click Here.
[7] This insight will become apparent as you rely solely on the Holy Spirit to teach you.
